The music department at the Ursuline has been recognized for their contribution towards the arts by being nominated for and awarded a Music Mark school membership by The UK Associated for Music Education (supported by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).
We have been awarded an Incorporated Society of Musicians Bronze mark for recognition of the excellent work we do for music in school and the large numbers of students qualifying in GCSE music each year. This places us in the top 526 schools across the country.
Leading Edge is a national network for high-performing schools who are committed to working in partnership to raise achievement; innovation and sharing successful practice both within and beyond the network. The purpose of Leading Edge is to support high-performing schools in sharing practice and working collaboratively. We believe that when a school is already high- performing, the national network can provide challenge and support from like-minded colleagues that may not be readily available locally.
The Cultural Diversity Quality Standard (CDQS) recognises and celebrates the excellent work done by our school to promote cultural diversity, race equality and opportunities for achievement for all students. It enables schools to develop strong and positive relationships in their learning communities to give everybody a shared vision, a sense of belonging and equal life opportunities regardless of their cultural heritage.
We have been awarded the Excellence in Enterprise Award by the Centre for Education and Industry. The award recognises Ursuline High School as outstanding in enterprise culture, business and community links and community and social enterprise.
We have been accredited with the ICT Mark in recognition of the use of ICT to enhance learning.
We are a Microsoft School focused on leading and learning.
We have been awarded a Bronze Level award in recognition of achievement in active and safer travel initiatives.
Recognised for being in the top 1% of schools nationally for value added and top 10% for students progress for five consecutive years.
