'No-Deal' Brexit Is A 'No-Go'!

Year 12 Business and Economics students had a insightful visit from Stephen Hammond (Conservative MP for Wimbledon, Raynes Park, Morden and Motspur Park) this morning.

Mr Hammond, (who voted remain in the referendum- but backed Teresa May's deal- quoting parliamentary democracy) recently left his job as a government Health Minister due to his belief that leaving the EU by 'any means necessary' was not the right route to take and passionately shared his stance as a constant opposition to a no-deal Brexit with students.

Students enjoyed quizzing Mr Hammond on a variety of other issues of concern to them, including  social housing, the NHS, how he makes sure he represents his diverse array of constituents- particularly young people.

Many thanks to Mr Hammond for taking the time to speak to our students today! They certainly enjoyed the opportunity.
