Our recent conferences have included: "Breaking Up the UK: The State of the Union and What Lies Ahead“, "Will Biden Top Trump?", "Climate Crisis: Time to Act” and “The Rise of Populism in a Globalised World”. We have recently introduced digital conferences, with Year 12 societies providing a session on topics from Music to Medicine.
Extended Learning is achieved by providing opportunities and enrichment across the curriculum and year groups through a range of strategies from conferences in school, corporate visits, speakers and our SERVIAM and careers programmes. Students also hugely benefit from the Ursuline’s extensive partnerships with organisations such as the Women of Achievement Ambassadors Programme, Covent Garden London, Wimbledon Bookfest and TEAM (Global).
Across this programme, students engage with professionals from diverse organisations including; lawyers, doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, scientists, women from business, engineers and journalists from TV and print media. They have benefited from visits to or projects with; Lloyds Bank, Accenture and BHP.
