Labour Market Information

Labour market information (LMI) is information about what is happening in a labour market. It focuses on; who is buying labour - which industries are growing and declining (labour demand);  what kind of labour they are buying - types and levels of jobs (labour demand);  what sort of labour is available - numbers, skill and qualification levels (labour supply) (www.warwick.ac.uk).

www.lmiforall.org.uk is your go to place for the latest Labour Market Information for all areas of London. The LMI is divided into sectors.

LMI for All is an online data portal, developed by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills and currently funded by the Department for Education, which brings together existing national sources of high quality labour market information (LMI) that can inform people’s choices about their careers. After successfully completing its pilot stage, LMI for All has been given full project status.

The Education Development Trust works collaboratively with national and local governments, schools and other partners from around the world to design and deliver sustainable solutions to improve education and transform lives.. They review the international evidence on labour market information and provide insights. Please see below their monthly bulletin outlining the latest labour market from the Office of National Statistics and information across multiple industry sectors.
