Ursuline Cork Trip

Over the bank holiday weekend, our PE Department took twenty of our esteemed student athletes to Cork, Ireland, personally selected having represented our school with pride on the sports fields in recent years.

After landing in Cork airport on Friday, the group travelled to Ursuline Cork for a cultural and sporting exchange, including a tour, lesson experience, lunch, and a football match – where we won thanks to goals from Alyssa and Robyn with an assist from Lola for a Blackrock own goal!

Fresh from the win, it was on to our home for the rest of the weekend Ballyhass Adventures - where during the day students got stuck into various activities including Zip Wiring, Crate Stacking, Archery, and the Aqua Park, and evenings were spent around the firepit, partaking in a quiz (with a teacher win!) and a fun rap challenge!

The jam-packed itinerary didn't stop there - there was also Gaelic Football experience at Carrigaline Hurling & Football Club and a visit to the infamous Blarney Castle for sightseeing and Irish history & culture, before travelling back to the airport for the return journey to London.
