Physics talk

Year 7-13 students enjoyed a fascinating physics talk by Ursuline Alumna Tishtrya Mehta recently.

Tishtrya is Data Scientist in the Office for Local Government and spoke to students about the various research her job entails. Including how research of planets take place.

It was particularly interesting to realise that discoveries regarding what lies below the surface of the sun tend to be estimated using sound! As there is no way to see through it's surface.

And yes- the telescope was actually named Very Large Telescope!

Loving the throwback pic of 2004 Tishtrya in Ursuline uniform!

Thank you Tishtrya for the visit - still living out our Serviam values we see!
