Chaplaincy Update

The summer term began with the mourning of Pope Francis and the welcome of Pope Leo XIV, who reminds us of our shared mission to live with courage and compassion. Our GIFT (Growing In Faith Together) after-school faith sessions with Wimbledon College have continued to be well attended, giving students space for prayer, reflection, and community.

Students from Ursuline were invited to Donhead Preparatory School to share testimonies of their growth in confidence, personal development, and building relationships through responsibility. Their reflections encouraged Donhead pupils to consider their own journey in light of their Jesuit tradition. In May, students and staff gathered for ‘Mary of the Roses’, a reflective service where roses symbolised the intentions of each year group and staff.

Staff also came together for a wellbeing retreat on the theme “Refreshed and Renewed,” combining prayer, stillness, and nature with space to share practices and intercede for one another.

Finally, on June 26th, fourteen schools gathered at St George’s Cathedral for the ‘Going Forth Mass’, celebrating our shared achievements and student contributions.
