Brown Envelope Day

Autumn B Term was all about GCSE mocks for Year 11. So as these came to an end last term, you can imagine how eagerly Year 11 have been awaiting their results.

Brown Envelope Day finally arrived on Tuesday 14th January - where students received a pep talk from their Head of Year; Mr MacSweeny and Deputy Headteacher; Mrs Alexander, before receiving their mock results in those brown envelopes from Mr Creasy in the Old Gym, with other staff of course on hand to support.

Their were mixed emotions as students absorbed their results, tears (of joy, and some of disappointment), but with every student having a firm basis of understanding any improvements they need to make ahead of sitting their actual GCSE's in the summer.

Year 11's focus, diligence, maturity, and dedication throughout their mocks has been truly commendable, with their regular Friday Mocks prior leaving them well prepared to tackle these positively. Their PSHE lessons have been key to supporting students' mental health and well being, and providing Year 11 with strategies for time management in completing their revision.

Well done Year 11- keep that revision and motivation up!
