You are here: About Us » Governors
Each member of staff or of the governing body should ensure that, before they become involved in making a decision, or participate in a discussion or authorises any transaction on any matter, there are no conflicts of interests that, in the opinion of a fair-minded and informed observer, would suggest a real possibility of bias.
In the interests of transparency and accountability, members of schools staff and the governing body are required to register in advance interests that are capable of causing conflicts. In addition, in relation to specific decisions, disclosure should be made of any interests that might conflict with their duties.
Declaration of Interests for Staff and Governors at Ursuline High School.
Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust has established a local Governing Board (LGB) to monitor and understand how the academy (Ursuline High School) is led and managed, in accordance with the powers delegated to it and its role as a link between the Trust Board, the academy and its community.
A vacancy has arisen for a parent governor on our local Governing Board. We are asking you to nominate someone with parental responsibility for a student at the school. If we receive more than one nomination, then a ballot will be held. Find out more below.

The Ursuline Governors Donations Fund is the schools’ regular giving parental contribution scheme. Ursuline High School is a Voluntary Aided Secondary Girls Catholic School.
As a Voluntary Aided School all Capital Works undertaken around the school are 10% funded by the parents. Additionally, Governors contribute to the School’s Chaplaincy programmes to sustain and develop the school’s charism and ethos, and our Laptop Scheme.
We would like to thank the many Ursuline High School parents, past and present, for their generous financial contributions to the school. They have defined the schools’ overall success. We ask that those parents yet to sign up to The Fund to consider doing so. Please contact our financial department for further information or to discuss your donation.
