Rosary Prayer Experience

In the month of October in which the church celebrates ‘Our Lady Of The Rosary’ Ursuline hosted a 'Rosary Prayer Experience' in the chapel during lunchtime.

The session was open to both staff and students and involved student leaders leading the mystery reflections and the Hail Mary prayers as well as members of the school choir helping everyone to sing the chorus of the hymn  ‘Ave Maria’ ('Immaculate Mary').

Some of the feedback from students :

What did you like about this prayer time learning about and praying with the rosary?

  • I enjoyed praying with the rosery beads because since I had never used them before the new style for me was very welcoming and was just really lovely
  • I liked how I learnt about the theme of each of the rosary decades and taking our time to pray properly rather than rushing it
  • I like the time we spent with our Mary our mother and the time we had for prayer

What is the one (or more) thing (or things) that you think you will take away or have learnt from this prayer service?

  • No matter wherever you take the rosary, however you wear it or even hold it, Mary will still be with you always; the value of religious objects (or objects in general) aren't solely based on price - it's the intention and the experience with the object that matters.
  • How to properly use the rosary and i took away loads of them for my family
  • That having a rosary near you can help and support you in many ways.

Is there anything else you would like to say about this prayer service at all?

  • I loved the singing it was really beautiful and there singing was extremally clear and loud I loved it the projection was just immaculate I just wish that next time I will e able to be part of that amazing service
  • I liked how even if you were not helping with a reading or singing you could still have the chance to sing in the Ave Maria.
  • I liked the readings and how everyone listened to others intentions.
