Maia had initally met Adenike while singing at school event hosted by Ursuline Ilford, and then again more recently, as Adenike opened our Black History Month celebration this year - where Maia joined her on stage to sing. Maia's exceptional singing ability captured Adenike's attention and remained in her thoughts, so much so that she got in touch with Maia regarding the opportunity to sing with her again at Wembley Arena- an amazing opportunity.
Flame is UK's Largest Catholic Youth Conference, it is such an inspirational event, empowering young people with hope, and celebrating faith and community. Both Adenike and Maia were both truly were Unstoppable, which was the message behind the whole day.
You can see some clips from the event on Adenike's Instagram page here.
If that wasn't enough, Maia is also quite the track star, achieving a silver medal in the U17 60m hurdles indoor nationals, which now ranks her number 2 in England. Truly a student who embodies a variety of gifts and talents! Go Maia!
