British Science Week - STEM!

We had a double whammy on 11th-15th March with #BritishScienceWeek and #MathsWeek!

We had lots of activities going on in and outside the classroom for British Science Week. Pictured here, last Tuesday due to popular request was about all things fiery! We did flame tests to change the colour of our Bunsen’s flame, as well as some explosions with methane bubbles and the whoosh bottle. Wednesday, we held an open invite for Engineering club where we demonstrated our 3D Printer, and students talked about the designs they have been printing.

All Y7s and 8s have been preparing for the national poster competition, with the theme of time. I look forward to judging the posters to send of the top 5 to be judged by the British science week team!

Maths Week involved lunchtime filled with fun math-based games, Sudoku, Chinese checkers, and Backgammon all proved popular with the KS3 students!
