Transition Timeline

APRIL

‘NEW PARENTS’ EVENINGS
These evenings are to inform parents/ carers about the 
transition process from Year 6 to Year 7, to share our school
ethos and introduce key staff members.

STUDENTS SET ENGLISH AND MATHS ASSESSMENTS/ STUDENT INTERVIEWS/
LEARNING SUPPORT MORNING (if applicable)

 

JULY

STUDENT INDUCTION DAY
Your daughter is invited to the school for an Induction Day.
This will be an enjoyable opportunity for new students to
experience a ‘taste’ of life at Ursuline High School, Wimbledon.

SCHOOL OUTFITTER UNIFORM SALE
An opportunity to purchase uniform from our provider
The School Outfitter.


SEPTEMBER

‘THE FIRST DAY’
The first day will start with a learning conference and will be
spent getting to know the way around the school, collecting books,
meeting form tutors and other students, alongside preparing for the
start of lessons.

YEAR 7 INFORMATION EVENING
At the start of term we will hold an Information Evening for Year 7 where
you will receive some key information on Teaching and Leaning and how you
can track you daughters progress throughout the year.


OCTOBER

RESIDENTIAL TRIP (£155 - which includes transport, accommodation, meals and tuition.)
All of Year 7 are invited to join us on a residential trip, we strongly recommend
that your daughter particiates in this activity to give her the opportunity to get to know
other students and staff. More information will be provided on this when you recieve
your induction pack.

NOVEMBER

COMMISSIONING SERVICE
All Year 7 students attend an Commissioning Service to celebrate the end of the transition
process. It is an important date in the Year 7 calendar as students become ‘full members’
of the Ursuline High School community and recieve their serviam badges!
