Chaplain Message

This year, our theme for Lent was How Can We Encounter God? To encounter God, we have to be willing to help others and to be Jesus in our world today, reaching out to those in need. To encounter God, we have to take time to stop and pray, this means talking to God and also listening. To encounter God, we have to open our eyes to be able to see God in others through the kind words and vestures they share.

During Lent we have reached out to those in need through our Ukraine collection, where we collected items such as; baby food, tooth brushes and tooth paste and soap, which were delivered to the Ukrainian embassy. As well as this, we have done a period poverty collection for Seke village in Zimbabwe. The amount collected was very impressive and we hope it will make a difference.
