The Ursuline High School App

We are delighted to see so many parents using our app and sharing so much positive feedback with us.

The app brings so many benefits for parents;

  • Keep important school information away from the clutter of your inbox
  • Receive daily news
  • Access our school calendar and noticeboard
  • Access links to Parent Pay and Progresso
  • Report absences

The download/use of the app is at parent/carer discretion. Should you not wish to use the app, you will continue to receive most communications via email as you did before we launched the app. Also, the app will not replace Cloud Parent (Progresso App).

Enrolment - All our parents/carers will have received instructions for how to download and enrol. If you have any problems at all downloading the app or entering your code, please contact us and we can help you.

TransitionPlease bear with us while we move all relevant information over to the app. Also, during this period of transition it might be that you receive some duplicate information, please do bear with us. It is a priority for us to complete the transition ASAP.

Have your sayDuring this period of transition, we will be heavily testing the app internally and with a small group of parents/carers. If you would like to get involved, then contact us to express your interest.

Our app has been developed as part of our commitment to forge deeper relationships between our parent/carer community and school, while ensuring our communications are as streamlined as possible for you. We hope you are as excited about this development as we are.

We’re here to help - We have put together an FAQ (see below) covering some common questions regarding the app. Alternatively, please contact us at: familyengagement@ursulinehigh.merton.sch.uk with any feedback or questions that you may have.

The Ursuline High School App – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q – What is the purpose of the app?

A - The app is to keep you up to date with your child’s/children’s education. Currently, the app allows you to access school news, important announcements, key dates, our calendar and more. The app is continuously being refined with more features and content and soon we hope to give you the option of completing consent forms and accessing behaviour and attendance data.

Q – I can’t locate the enrolment email. What do I do?

A – The email was sent on Thursday 18th November, from noreply@weduc.co.uk (it my show in your inbox as ‘Ursuline High School’) with the subject: The Ursuline High School app is here - Enrol now! If you cannot locate it, please email us and we will get a new enrolment email sent to you.

Q – Is the app optimised for mobile?

A- Yes, the app is fully optimised for both Android and Apple iOS smartphones and tablets. It can also be accessed via web browser.

Q - Does the new app replace Cloud Parent?

A - No not at all. Cloud Parent (Progresso App) will continue and the information on there will not be presented within the Ursuline High School App or Weduc webapp.

Q - Are ParentPay and Progresso integrated?

A - Currently, the app links to these portals via The Hub. However, you need to log in as you would if you accessed these portals from a new browser. We are hopeful that future iterations of the app will allow for integrations.

Q - Is it compulsory to download/use the app?

A - Of course not. The download/use of the app is at parent/carer discretion. We do believe the app will simplify how you receive communication from us, but it is ultimately your decision whether to use it or not.

Q - What happens if we don’t want to use the app?

A - You will continue to receive most communications via email as you did before we launched the app. Also, you will need to continue to report Absences by calling the main school telephone number and selecting option 2 (on each morning of absence).

Q – Can you send targeted information relating my child/children only?

A – Yes, targeted messaging will be used where relevant.

Q - Can we filter the newsfeed or calendar by year group?

A - Currently this is not possible, but we are hopeful that future iterations of the app will allow for integrations.

Q - Can we have a search button?

A - Currently this is not possible, but it is a feature we will look at incorporating as part of future iterations of the app.

Q – Should we still use the website?

A – The intention is that all relevant information in the Parent section of our website will ultimately also be available on the app. For those parents/carers that do not wish to use the app the essential information will remain accessible via the website.

Q – My child’s/children’s other parent/carer has not received an invitation to download the app. Can I send them my link?

A – Every parent/carer, both primary and secondary with Parental responsibility, on our system should have received an invitation. If this hasn’t happened, please let us know at parentengagement@ursulinehigh.merton.sch.uk. Please note that invitations cannot be shared as each person needs their own individual access code.

Q – Can we enter our Covid swab results on the app?

A- Yes, the app links to the Covid swap webpage. You will find this link in The Hub.

Q – Who are the app developers?

A – The app is developed by Weduc, the expert communication and engagement platform for parents, teachers, and students.
