Another fantastic Sports Awards Evening took place on Friday 21st June. Students and parents gathered to celebrate the Ursuline High School sporting achievements of the year- with an awards evening and celebratory dinner, hosted by the P.E department.
We were honored share the evening with this years special guest and speaker; Toby Gold (GB T34 Wheelchair racer, 3 x European Record Holder,100m European Champion 2016. Rio Paralympic Silver Medalist. London 2017 World Silver Medalist- WOW!), whose sporting achievements are beyond impressive and a true inspiration to us all!
Student speakers also took to the stage to speak proudly of their sporting triumphs this year.
Awards included; Most Improved Various Sportswomen of the Year, Participation in Sport Award(s), Most Improved Dancers, Footballers, Netballers and Tennis Players of the Year. Most Improved Athletes, Basketballers, Cricketers and Cross Country Runners of the Year. Sports Performers of the Year, Footballers, Indoor Athlete and Netballers of the Year, Athletes, Cricketers, Cross Country Runners and Dancers of the Year!
Sportswoman of the Year: Lucia.
Merici Award for Highest Sporting Achievement: Grace
Year 7 Little Enthusiast of the Year: Ines.
Resilience Award: Eliza.
A huge well done to all our students for their efforts, determination, perseverance, camaraderie and successes in P.E this year. you are all a true credit to our school and we are very proud of each and every one of you.
A great evening was had by all- roll on Sports Day!
