Parental Positivity

Please see below for lovely positive messages of appreciation from some of our parents- they are much appreciated!

"Dear Mrs. Waters,

In these difficult times I wanted to thank you and your staff for the outstanding work you are doing with the girls. My three girls in years 9, 12 and 13 are busy every morning from, 8.30 and working hard all day thanks to the dedication and hard work of your staff and your technology team. Thank you to everyone involved for providing them with this incredibly structured, organised and well co-ordinated new way of learning. At a time like this knowing that they are busy, occupied and learning is a huge relief to me and their dad.

I would also like to commend the school on how you handled the swift end to the year, particularly year 13. It was lovely that you managed a small celebration for the girls and I know it meant the world to them and will be something they will always remember. I thank you also for the way in which information has been conveyed to the students. Not once have I heard them reporting back anything but a calm, orderly approach form teachers which I am sure has helped to keep them calm and keep anxiety levels down in what could have been a very stressful transtition.

Please thank all the staff at Ursuline for everything they continue to do so well and know that it is truly appreciated."

"Dear Mrs Waters

Firstly, I would like to say how sorry we are as a family to see the early closure of UHS at these very worrying and unprecedented times.

Secondly, I would like to express my gratitude to you and your staff for guiding the girls in Year 11 and trying to put their minds at ease through these uncertain times, especially as they have worked so hard towards their GCSEs. My daughter is a quiet reserved student but is immensely proud of being part of the UHS community and is very sad to have her Year 11 cut short and unable to sit her exams. We know that in return to 6th Form (UHS being her only choice), she can continue with her amazing education and fantastic opportunities that will be presented to her socially and academically from September.

Finally a great big thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the support, the email correspondence and the kindness shown over the last few weeks.

We pray for an end to these uncertain times and wish you and your family a safe time.

God Bless"

"Dear Mrs Waters,

We both wanted to extend our thanks and admiration at your exceptional response to this extraordinary situation. Of course we are already aware that the Ursuline, under your guidance, is excellent but the behaviour and decisions of yourself and your staff over the last (and no doubt coming) weeks has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Thank you for making an incredibly worrying time a great deal easier to bear, with a special thank you Miss Brown who is especially kind and professional,

God bless and keep safe.

P.S. My daughter completed her first day of working from home using Microsoft Teams and it was a huge success for everyone! Onwards and upwards."
