Southwark Opening Mass

On Tuesday 10th September, 5 students from Year 8- 10, joined with students and staff from schools across the diocese to attend Mass to mark the start of the school year, at Southwark Cathedral. The Mass was celebrated by the new Archbishop John Wilson.

During his sermon, the Archbishop explained that the Bible is God's love letter to all of us and said that the contents could be summarised in ten words that we can all remember: 'As I have loved you, you must love each other'. This annual service is always memorable for a joyful atmosphere and rousing singing and this year was no exception.

After the Mass our students met students from Ursuline prep Wimbledon and Ursuline Greenwich for a photo and a chat about what it means to be an Ursuline.
