Commissioning Service

The Year 7 Commissioning Service, which took place on Tuesday 6th November, was a lovely celebration, marking the formal end of the transition from primary school to secondary school.

Attended by parents and carers, the event saw each student make a vow to support the school ethos and receive their Serviam badge from Headteacher,Ms Julia Waters in recognition of these promises.

Musical performances were provided by Year 7 students Scarlett & Jungwon, a reading from St Angela’s counsels by Felicia and speeches on ‘What makes an Ursuline student?’ from the Head Girls (Niamh and Maddie) and Hannah, Muna and Chelsea also gave very enjoyable presentations detailing their experiences in Year 7 thus far. The service was brought to a close with the uplifting hymn ‘Shine Jesus Shine’. Parents then had the opportunity to enjoy refreshments with Ms Waters, Year 7 tutors and other school staff members.

A lovely occasion!
