Virtual Open Event

Due to government guidelines, we will unfortunately not be able to offer school visits at this time. More information regarding our new virtual offering and how to 'sign up' will be available here from 6.00pm on Tuesday 7th July

 

Moving from Primary to Secondary School

Parents should be aware that application to the school is made through the London Wide Co-ordinated Admisisons Scheme.  All applicants must:

  1. Submit the Common Application Form (CAF) to their Local authority or apply online via: eadmissions
  2. Complete the Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form (SIF)

 

Waiting List

Parents / carers of children who have not been offered a place at the school, may ask for the child's name to be placed on the Waiting List, which is operated according to our admissions criteria. Placing a child's name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available.

 

Appeals

Parents / carers whose applications for places are unsuccessful may appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel set up in accordance with Sections 88 and 94 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. You should carefully consider the reasons given for not offering your daughter a place and also look at our Admissions Policy. Appeals must be made in writing and must set out the reasons on which the appeal is made. Appeals should be made to the Admissions Appeal Clerk c/o the school address. Parents / Carers have the right to make oral representations to the Appeal Panel. The decision of the panel is final.

APPEALS SCHEDULE RELATING TO TRANSFER TO SECONDARY SCHOOL 2020

16th March 2020 - Parents/Carers to inform the school by email of their intention to Appeal.

26th March 2020 - Deadline for parents/Carers to return their appeal form and lodge their appeal

1st May 2020 - Deadline for all paperwork to support the appeal.

If you do wish to appeal the school’s decision please adhere to the dates above for submitting your appeal and paperwork.

All appeals for Year 7 2020 were heard w/b 8th June 2020.  

 

In Year School Admissions

Applications for a place in Years 8 - 11, or who are already in Year 7 at a Secondaray School should be made by completing an Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form. Please e-mail: salvina.barcellona@ursulinehigh.merton.sch.uk  to request the appropriate form.

Applicants should also complete an 'In Year School Application Form'. This form can be downloaded from the London Borough of Merton Website.

We do operate a Waiting List system and parents/carers of children who have not been offered a place at our school may ask for the child's name to be placed ont this list.  The waiting list will be operated according to our Admissions Policy.
