Moving from Primary to Secondary School

Parents should be aware that application to the school is made through the London Wide Co-ordinated Admisisons Scheme.  All applicants must:

  1. Submit the Common Application Form (CAF) to their Local authority or apply online via: eadmissions
  2. Complete the Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form (SIF)


Waiting List

Parents / carers of children who have not been offered a place at the school, may ask for the child's name to be placed on the Waiting List, which is operated according to our admissions criteria. Placing a child's name on the waiting list does not guarantee that a place will become available.



Parents / carers whose applications for places are unsuccessful may appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel set up in accordance with Sections 88 and 94 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. You should carefully consider the reasons given for not offering your daughter a place and also look at our Admissions Policy. Appeals must be made in writing and must set out the reasons on which the appeal is made.Appeals should be made to the Admissions Appeal Clerk c/o the school address. Parents / Carers have the right to make oral representations to the Appeal Panel. The decision of the panel is final.


Appeals are scheduled to be heard week beginning 8th June 2020.  However, due to the current covid19 pandemic we are awaiting guidance from Central Government regarding admission appeals this year.

If you do wish to appeal the school’s decision please adhere to the dates below for submitting  your appeal and paperwork.  Once schools have been formally notified as to how this year’s appeals are to be carried out we will write again to update you.

To make an Appeal for entry to Ursuline High School for September 2020 you must request an Appeal form by email as staff will be working remotely.

16th March 2020 - Parents/Carers to inform the school by email of their intention to Appeal.

26th March 2020 - Deadline for parents/Carers to return their appeal form and lodge their appeal

1st May 2020 - Deadline for all paperwork to support the appeal.


In Year School Admissions

Applications for a place in Years 8 - 11, or who are already in Year 7 at a Secondaray School should be made by completing an Ursuline High School Supplementary Information Form. Please e-mail:  to request the appropriate form.

Applicants should also complete an 'In Year School Application Form'. This form can be downloaded from the London Borough of Merton Website.
